The trip was one I'll never forget. Everything was amazing from start to finish, including an amazing set of girls and flawless arrangements. The experience with Chile Nativo was amazing, especially our tour guides. I can't wait for another Ma'wa trip!

Patagonia Trek

Best Mawa experience yet! This trip was an incredible experience from beginning to end. Our lead Fadwa made this trip amazing Everything was thoughtfully organized, and every moment felt meaningful. What truly made it special, though, were the people I met along the way — kind, inspiring, and unforgettable. I came back with amazing memories and genuine connections that made this journey even more special. I will be booking my second Mawa international trip very soon! 

I have been dreaming of going to Patagonia for 8 years, and finally got the opportunity to go with Ma'wa and met so many amazing ladies and had such a great time as well! Everything was organized and really well done. The company that we were guided by (Chile Nativo) was excellent and did an amazing job and were so hospitable. I can't wait for my next trip with Ma'wa!

I had an amazing time with MA’WA. This was such a life changing experience because it’s not everyday you get to be surrounded by such wonderful genuine women who share similar values with you while living in a non Muslim country. My trip leaders and my peers were some of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life and created such a welcoming and nurturing environment in my opinion. Arizona Fall Trip

 The trip was amazing! Everything was well-organized, and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed exploring San Diego’s trails and coastal views.

From Waves to Trails: San Diego Day Trip

Probably one of the best trips! It’s been a dream of mine to complete Angles Landing and The Narrows; so happy I was able to do it with other Muslim ladies. Got to meet so many Muslim sisters who I know I’ll be keeping contact with. 

Zion Thanksgiving Trip

Spent time exploring San Diego with fellow Muslims. We got to see San Diego from the marine to the parks to the beaches. Can’t wait for the next MAWA trip! 

Best experience ever. Wonderful people and very organized team.

We had a great time! This was a really fun trip and it was so nice to see Muslim women of all ages coming together in community. Our trip leader Eman was so kind and knowledgeable. Things to improve would be better accommodations (but I know that is super hard) and maybe a more accurate description of the trails for those who have no experience hiking. The first hike we did was really intense and hard and the third hike was very steep, but Alhamdulliah it was very satisfying once we completed them!

New Hampshire Fall Trip

Beautiful fall getaway! The colors were stunning. Loved the mix of hiking, local cafés, and cozy small towns. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone wanting to experience authentic New England charm.

This trip was amazing! I had such a good time and would go on another trip, and I will be recommending Ma'wa to my friends. Yarah was a great leader, she was so humble and relatable, and it was amazing to go on so many hikes! Yarah  she fostered a great environment between all the girls! 

The 12 person size was perfect, it was so intimate and I felt like I got to know everyone!

Lake Tahoe Fall Trip

The Fall Banff Trip was an amazing experience for me! Everything was so nicely organised and lead by an awesome leader Yusra. She was so professional and accommodating everyone wishes and needs. I love the reflections talks in the evenings. They’re created some connections . 

The cabin was a lovely spot in a forest with the mountains view! Very clean and spacy!
The trip involved so many beautiful hikes and lakes.
The group of girls was amazing - so supportive , kind and caring! I love every minute I spent for those four days! 

The only thing I would like to see different is not to cook our food since it takes a lot of time at the kitchen we could spend outside around the beauty:)

Banff Fall Trip

My third Ma’wa trip, and an absolute pleasure! Yarah’s “Psychologist” game is the highlight of this trip - sign up for Yarah lead trips and have her play this game to understand the hype! :)

I had an incredible time on this lovely trip! Everything was so well planned, from the itinerary and the way our days were structured to be accessible and beginner-friendly (while still feeling exciting /adventurous enough).

A huge thank you to our group leader, Yara, who brought so much energy, kindness, and knowledge to the experience. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout the hike. The rest of the group was just as wonderful, and the sense of community made the trip even more special.

I can’t wait to join another Ma’wa trip soon!

Loved the trip. It was a smaller group so we got to know everyone in the group and had a great time! Everyone was super chill and Yarah was a great lead, would definitely go on the next trip (if I catch the trip announcements early enough 🥲)

Mt. Hood Summer Trip

Amazing time, Mt Hood is an underrated place. So glad I got to experience it with Ma’wa.

It such a heart-warming trip. I really enjoyed it ❤️ as a person coming from Moslem Majority country to Diversity country, I came with many fears and concerns, especially as Moslem. Then Ma'wa Collective present this trip for me & for us, to keep us safe with aligned Islamic values. I'm so glad that I have been experiencing this once in a life journey. I hope I'll do it over n over again, in another time.

North Cascades Summer Trip

Banff was an absolute DREAM!!!
Going with Ma’wa was the best decision I made! Not only do you have you the trip planned and organized for you but you get to meet amazing beautiful sisters from all of the world!! All you need to do is pack your bags and get ready for the best nature getaway we’ve all been looking for except you get to have a safe place with sisterhood and absolutely amazing food! 10/10 highly recommended!

Ma'wa Banff Summer Trip

Great coordination and well planned trip. One of the memorable one for me. 

Ma’wa truly is the place to be if you’re looking for community and meaningful connection. The Banff 2025 weekend trip was incredible — from hiking up to Lake Agnes to gathering around a warm campfire under the stars, every moment was worth it. It was the perfect escape from the daily grind, beautifully rooted in faith, sisterhood, and compassion. 
10/10 recommend!

This was truly a bucket list destination, and Ma’wa made this trip an absolute dream! Everything from meals, to itinerary, to day-to-day schedule exceeded my expectations and made traveling to another country an easy process! Ma’wa continues to be a safe haven for women who want to travel, explore nature, and connect with other like-minded individuals. Overall, I definitely recommend a Ma’wa trip. 

This trip was more than a getaway — it was a soulful retreat surrounded by nature, sisterhood, and reflection. 
from the moment we drove onto Skyline Drive, to the awe-inspiring views in the Park Mountains reminded me of Allah’s magnificence. 

Each overlook of the hikes felt like a moment of reflection — inviting me to pause and truly see the signs of the Creator in the landscape around us.

The sound of cascading water, the cool shade, and the unity of walking side by side with sisters in faith made it a deeply memorable part of the day.

My most treasured moment? The sunrise and sunset. Watching the day come to life and wrap itself up in golden silence felt like stepping into another world — a sacred space suspended between time and light.

And it wasn’t just the beauty — it was how we got there. I owe that awe-struck moment to Shajeah, whose knowledge and effort made it happen. She found the perfect viewing point and quietly led us there, even though I know how hard it was for her to be up so early and make that slot fit into an already full itinerary. Her dedication gave us the chance to witness the miracle of a new day being born. That sunrise wasn't just a moment — it was a message: you are safe, you belong, you are capable of more.

Laila, with her quiet devotion to everyone’s comfort, made sure the entire trip flowed smoothly. Her joyful energy was contagious — every laugh, every shared bite, every “Are you okay?” wove into a feeling of genuine care. She made it feel easy, even when I know it took a lot of behind-the-scenes effort.

This trip wasn’t just a visit to a national park — it was a reintroduction to myself in a new land. Shenandoah became the backdrop to a personal and spiritual awakening. I’ll carry those sunrise colors with me, along with the trust, encouragement, and love I felt from Ma’wa.

I came back not only with memories, but with momentum — to explore more, to rise early for more sunrises, and to say yes to what once felt unfamiliar.

Ma'wa Washington Day Hike

Didn’t know such a beautiful hike/trail and view existed in my backyard. Hike was beginner level and perfect for me. Leaders managed a huge group with ease. We had breaks, a bathroom stop, and great weather. Lunch was provided and it was delicious. If you’re not active or a hiker but want to start, this is a great way to introduce yourself slowly and get into the habit. And the views are so nice. 

Ma’wa NYC Walk, Run or Ride: A Nature Day in Central Park

Ma'Wa has yet to disappoint! This hike brought together so many different women of all ages and backgrounds. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful women that live in Washington. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the company kept was most memorable. The fact that we were all in a text group chat already made it so easy to connect with folks after the hike too! 10/10! If you're a muslim woman who enjoys the outdoors, you HAVE to experience a Ma'Wa trip! 

The trip, the company & accommodations were so pleasant & thoroughly enjoyable.  Ma'wa organization was professional in managing program signup and trip navigation.  Great travel opportunity !

It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and she fed us very well. The sunrise hike was mesmerizing. Also, there was never a dull moment. 

Alhamdulillah, this trip allowed me to connect with Allah and witness the beauty of His creation, the Grand Canyon. Meeting inspiring Muslim women from diverse backgrounds was an unforgettable experience. Truly grateful for this blessing! 

Arizona Winter Trip

Trip with Mawa collective was one of the best experiences I ever had where not only I got to enjoy the outdoors with a group of beautiful women but also we had a good time together from prepping things, sharing our experiences, having heart to heart conversations to praying together. Nadah is awesome, she meticulously organized the trip and was open to accommodate any last minute changes. It was a smooth experience and for the first time I don’t have to worry about anything or felt the need to research as she made sure to provide all the information. She was reachable all the time even before the trip started and prepared us for what to expect. The whole energy of this trip was so positive and relaxing, I made good friends, and my faith got more stronger. I learnt a lot on this trip, it helped me to come out of the boundaries I created around myself and made me challenge myself. I feel I have grown so much after this trip. I’d definitely be coming back and doing more trips with Mawa. As I’m writing I feel my words are not justifying on how amazing the experience I had. I pray for Mawa to grow bigger and bigger and reach out to more women and make impact in their life.

New England Summer Trip

Nadah is quite organized and improvised on the itinerary when the weather wasn’t ideal. I met amazing people and made so many new friendships. I would definitely sign up for another trip and recommend to a friend as well!

The foundation of Ma’wa Collective and our Trip Experiences is sisterhood and the bond between Muslim women exploring the outdoors together. What you’ve described is definitely not the culture that Ma’wa Collective prides itself on and has worked hard to build over the last 2 years. 

Our Santa Barbara trips are consistently one of our most positively received trips, so much so that this was our 4th time offering the trip. Our itineraries are meant to offer a structured series of appropriate activities to guide participants through the weekend. We hear you that this was not adequately offered and executed on your trip due to unforeseen circumstances just a few days before the start of the trip. We take complete accountability for not appropriately adjusting the planned itinerary and logistics for your weekend to accommodate these circumstances, and deeply regret the negative impact this had on you and your group.

I met awesome ladies whom I wouldn’t have been able to meet outside of Ma’wa 

Despite this, 
The itinerary was poorly planned.
The chosen hike  was inappropriate for the weather. 
The “beginner” description was misleading. This hike is moderate per All trails. The weather made it even harder due to direct sun. 

The team leader explained the concept of “building in flexibility” 
This concept is nice but we ended up waiting around and changing plans multiple times for people who do other activities alone but the leader wished they can join the group’s activities i.e. group dinner etc. 
so we ended up with plenty of confusion and frustration. 
I also felt not respected since the leader made sure to wait/ satisfy people who are disrespectful of others and not keen to be with the group. 

There was a bully who made inappropriate comments to people  including myself and when I wanted to talk to them in the  leader’s presence to call them out on their behavior, the leader dismissed my concern and didn’t show support.
This environment encourages bullies and disrespectful people and make decent humans avoid confrontation to avoid the “ drama” 

Unfortunately, I spent over a grand  for this and I left the trip thinking that it was not worth it and I will not do any more of Ma’wa trips.  I could have better trip experience for less money with other  companies who have have better professionalism, management and leadership skills. 

I am sad to say that after a trip that I was looking forward to.

Santa Barbara Summer Trip

A little less micromanaging for a group of adult women is the only thing I would suggest to a very well thought out trip. Great hikes, good location.

We had a memorable trip. It was a great opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and build community. One of the hikes was more difficult than I expected it to be. 

Loring Cottage Weekend Trip

I had a lovely time and met some amazing people. I would definitely do it again whether it's in Ontario or Canada.

🏠 Lodging: There is one lodge for this trip. Each bedroom has a different configuration of beds - you may register for your preferred sleeping arrangement via our booking platform. The lodging reserved for this trip is located in Cottonwood - about a 2 hour drive from Phoenix International Airport (PHX). Participants should be prepared for some driving/commuting over the course of the weekend to reach the hikes and activities planned in the itinerary. ✈️ Flights: If you will be flying in for this trip, we recommend flying into Phoenix International Airport (PHX): arrival must be no later than 2 pm on Friday, February 13th, and departure no earlier than 12 pm on Monday, February 16th. &nbsp;🚗 Carpools: While we can assist with arranging carpools among participants, we cannot guarantee that every Trip will have local participants that are able to volunteer their personal cars and offer a carpool. In some cases, a rental car may be the only option for carpooling. Some participants will need to volunteer as drivers for the rentals and the cost of the rental car is not covered by Ma’wa Collective.&nbsp;

Accommodation + Transportation

This package offers a king or queen sized bed that you will be sharing with another trip participant. Each bed is located in a private room.&nbsp; If you will be attending this trip with a friend or relative and would like to indicate your preference to share a bed with that person, please indicate this in the Notes/Comments section at the end of booking. Otherwise, all sleeping arrangements will be determined by the Trip Leader.
