This is now my third trip with Ma’wa and I must say my experience with these trips just keep getting better and better alhamdullilah! Everything from the itenarary, food, accommodations, and sisterhood were beyond expectation! Looking forward to more trips inshallah!

We had a great time Alhamdulillah! This is my third Mawa trip (2nd internationally) and they’ve all been amazing so far! I brought my mom along with me on this adventure and I was glad to see how accommodating Mawa was for all of our requests and last minute changes. Our flights were delayed coming in but the organisers were in touch the whole time and scheduled us our own private transfer since we missed the group one. The day to day hikes/activities were great! The team was open to feedback and adjusted anything that came up as soon as they could. My favorite part was khatirahs after dinner every night 🙌, getting to know amazing Muslim women, and spending time in nature.

Ma’wa trips are always a great time. There’s a shared sisterhood that you become a part of when you join ma’wa. I love the wide range of destinations to choose from, I love that it is an inclusive environment for all ranges of hiking levels and people from all over the world. Looking forward to my next trip, inshallah!

I have traveled with this group twice, and both experiences were deeply concerning and disappointing. There were consistent issues with leadership, organization, and communication, and key elements of safe, well-managed group travel did not appear to be reliably in place. Participant well-being did not feel like a clear priority, and the overall trip management fell short of reasonable expectations. If the company plans to continue operating, significant improvements in leadership, planning, and accountability are necessary. Silence is not leadership, and avoiding accountability only puts more people at risk. I would not recommend traveling with this group, and I strongly encourage anyone considering it to be mindful when booking with an organization that appears to rely primarily on internet popularity. Online presence does not equate to the skills, leadership ability, responsibility, or compassion required to safely and ethically run group travel.
