Your booking includes private group airport transfers between Queen Alia International Airport and your hotel in Amman. To be included in the scheduled group airport transfers:

This is a moderate-level hiking trip designed for participants who are in good health, physically active, and comfortable hiking on varied terrain. Participants should be prepared for long days of walking through desert landscapes, canyons, rocky trails, and uneven terrain, including some sections that may require light scrambling.
Daily hikes typically range from 3–6 hours per day, with some longer days of exploration. Trails may include exposed areas, uneven surfaces, stairs, and elevation gain. A consistent level of fitness and prior hiking experience is recommended to fully enjoy the experience.
Participants should be comfortable:
Hiking up to 10–12 km (6–7.5 miles) in a day
Navigating rocky, uneven terrain and natural desert surfaces
Carrying a daypack with personal essentials (water, layers, snacks, etc.)

You must purchase the Jordan Pass ahead of your arrival. This covers the visa price for entry into Jordan and the entrance fees to most tourist attractions in the country.

Welcome to Jordan! Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), you'll meet the rest of the group for a private airport transfer to your hotel in Amman. Transfers will be arranged exclusively for our group (rather than individually for each traveler), and the drive typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. After checking in, take some time to relax and settle in before the adventure begins.

After an early breakfast, we'll depart Amman and make our way to the breathtaking Dana Biosphere Reserve, home to some of Jordan's most dramatic and diverse landscapes. Today's adventure is the Shaq Al Reesh Trail, a moderate 5 km hike that winds through towering sandstone cliffs, a stunning narrow siq (canyon), and scenic viewpoints showcasing the beauty of the reserve. Following the hike, we'll continue our journey south to Little Petra, where we'll settle into a traditional Bedouin camp for the evening.

After breakfast, we'll take a short truck ride to the trailhead and begin our hike into Petra via its legendary "Back Door" entrance. The trail begins with a couple of kilometers of walking across open terrain, offering breathtaking views of the Araba Mountains and stretching all the way to the Negev Desert. The Back Door trail also avoids the crowds found at the main entrance.
Following an ancient Nabataean route, we'll skirt the mountainside along a natural rock terrace before reaching a hidden plateau high above the dramatic Wadi Siyyagh canyon. From here, one of Petra's most iconic landmarks—the magnificent Monastery (Ad Deir)—suddenly comes into view. There will be an opportunity to stop at the nearby Bedouin café for refreshments before continuing down the ancient Nabataean steps into the heart of Petra.
From the Monastery, we'll continue along Petra's main trail, passing remarkable temples, tombs, and monuments as we make our way through the ancient city before arriving at our hotel for the evening.

After breakfast, we'll return to Petra through the Visitor Center and enter the ancient city via the Siq, a dramatic 1 km-long narrow gorge flanked by towering cliffs reaching up to 80 meters high. As you make your way through the canyon, take in the dazzling colors and natural formations carved into the sandstone before emerging into one of the world's most remarkable archaeological sites.
Today we'll explore beyond Petra's most famous landmarks, discovering hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs, temples, Roman-style theaters, and ancient sacrificial altars. Crossing the Colonnaded Street, we'll continue into Wadi Farasa, passing significant sites including the Renaissance Tomb and the Soldier Tomb before ascending to Jabal al-Madhbah (the High Place of Sacrifice). From the summit, we'll enjoy sweeping views overlooking the Royal Tombs and the surrounding valleys.
From there, we'll follow the Madras Trail, tucked into the hills south of the Siq, before descending near the Obelisk Tomb and completing another unforgettable day exploring the hidden corners of Petra.

After breakfast, we'll depart Petra and travel to the breathtaking desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, where we'll spend the day exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our adventure begins with a Jeep Tour, taking us through Wadi Rum's vast valleys, dramatic canyons, towering sandstone mountains, rolling dunes, and expansive desert scenery. Along the way, we'll stop to discover ancient rock inscriptions, admire panoramic views, and explore narrow gorges. At each stop, you'll have time to hike, scramble, and explore at your own pace.
Following the jeep safari, we'll continue on foot for an approximately 11 km desert hike. The trail winds through multiple canyons, leads to the spectacular Um Frouth Rock Arch, and finishes at our camp.

After breakfast, we'll drive approximately one hour to the base of Jabal Umm Ad Dami, the highest peak in Jordan at over 1,800 meters (5,900 feet). From the summit, you'll enjoy a completely different perspective of the surrounding desert, with panoramic views stretching south toward the Saudi Arabian border and north toward Jebel Rum near Rum Village.
The hike to the summit and back typically takes around 3 hours, depending on the group's pace and hiking ability. After descending, we'll continue to Wadi Nuqra for a short hike to a scenic viewpoint before enjoying a freshly prepared desert lunch. Following lunch, we'll return to our camp in Wadi Rum.

After breakfast, we'll depart Wadi Rum and make our way to Amman, with a drive of approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, we'll visit the impressive King Abdullah I Mosque (the Blue Mosque), one of Jordan's most notable landmarks and a beautiful example of Islamic architecture.
Following the mosque visit, we'll enjoy a hands-on Jordanian cooking class, where you'll learn how to prepare a traditional Arabic meal alongside a local chef. After preparing the dishes, we'll gather together to enjoy the meal you've created and experience the flavors of Jordanian cuisine.
In the evening, we'll return to our hotel in Amman for our final night of the journey.
Note: If there is a special event taking place at King Abdullah I Mosque on this day, the visit may be moved to King Hussein Mosque as an alternative.
